About Chiropractic Care
Learn about chiropractic care, including how chiropractic adjustments may help support joint mobility, posture, spinal function and musculoskeletal pain relief.
Chiropractic care and you
At Abundant Life Chiropractic, we provide personalised chiropractic care for people experiencing back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, posture concerns and mobility issues.
Our chiropractors use gentle, tailored techniques designed to support joint movement, spinal function and overall musculoskeletal health.
The nervous system is vital to the functioning of our bodies. A chiropractic adjustment may help with joint mobility, which can have an impact on nerve and pain receptors – non invasively, and without drugs.
Our approach
The three stages of your care
There are three separate phases through care that you’ll move through when you become a patient at Abundant Life Chiropractic.
First stage
The first stage is when you’re new to chiropractic but have a spinal or postural issue or another type of pain. We’ll work to relieve your discomfort and stabilise your spine.
Second stage
The second stage occurs when your spinal muscles and ligaments get stronger. It may be necessary for those with chronic conditions.
Third stage
The third stage is chosen by people who would like to have periodic checkups and adjustments because they feel that they need them.
How we help
We'll help you to understand your spine, posture and movement goals
How We Help
Our Customised Techniques
We understand that each of our patients is unique, and adjustment techniques are tailored to meet the individual’s needs and goals. The methods our chiropractors use include:
Diversified Technique
Designed to restore proper alignment of the spine, returning movement and easing joint dysfunction.
Sacro-Occipital Technique® (SOT®)
Designed to make corrections to the cranium, pelvis, extremities, and organs; also used for spinal adjusting.
Advanced BioStructural Correction (ABC)
Uses postural analyses to determine if there is a misalignment of the spinal column.
Activator® Adjusting
For a more gentle alignment of the spine without any twisting or forceful input to the spinal joints. A small instrument is used to do the adjusting.
Thompson Technique
A table that has a drop piece to aid in gentle corrections of the spine.
Gonstead Chiropractic
Gonstead is a precise, full-spine analysis approach — using X-rays, palpation and motion testing to identify the exact joint causing the problem, then delivering a specific adjustment to that segment rather than treating the spine generally.
Please note that results can vary from person to person, and no outcomes can be guaranteed.
How we help
Making structural corrections is also one of our main aims with chiropractic.

Common Questions
Chiropractic, answered
What does chiropractic care help with?
Chiropractic care may help manage a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint stiffness and mobility restrictions. Treatment focuses on improving spinal movement, joint function and overall mobility.
What happens during a chiropractic appointment?
Your chiropractor will begin with a consultation and physical examination, which may include posture and spinal assessments. If clinically required, digital X-rays may also be taken on-site. Following your assessment, your chiropractor will explain their findings and discuss personalised care options.
Are chiropractic adjustments safe?
Chiropractic adjustments are performed by registered chiropractors using controlled techniques tailored to the individual. Your chiropractor will explain any recommended treatment, discuss potential risks and benefits, and ensure care is appropriate for your needs before treatment begins.
